We ran into a guy wearing loafers and no socks the other day. We were disgusted. It was a hot day and there was no doubt his feet were sweating. And sweating into what? A musty old shoe, that's what. We could only imagine how bad his feet would smell from a hot day in shoes with no socks to soak up that sweat. Socks that could be washed.
Socks are worn for a reason. They're comfortable and colorful. We didn't want to look at this guy's gnarly old ankles. We wanted to look at a clean, dry sock with hopefully a distinctive pattern or an amusing picture of a pug or a dinosaur or an astronaut. Anything but his ankles.
