Application Instructions (Iron-On)

Follow these simple steps to permanently attach your new patch:

What You'll Need:

  • Iron (Do not use steam setting)

  • Hard, heat-safe surface (like an ironing board or table with a towel)

  • Thin cloth or parchment paper (a tea towel or pillowcase works well)

Steps:

  1. Preparation: Preheat your iron to the highest heat setting that your garment fabric can tolerate (usually Cotton or High). DO NOT USE STEAM.

  2. Positioning: Place your garment on the hard, heat-safe surface. Place the patch in the desired location, embroidered side up.

  3. Protection: Place the thin cloth or parchment paper over the top of the patch. This protects the embroidery and the iron.

  4. Pressing: Press the heated iron down firmly onto the cloth-covered patch. Hold for approximately 30-45 seconds without moving the iron. Use consistent, even pressure.

  5. Secure: Turn the garment inside out (if possible) and repeat the pressing process on the back of the patch area for another 20-30 seconds to ensure the adhesive fully melts and bonds.

  6. Cool Down: Allow the patch to cool completely (about 5 minutes) before handling or testing the bond.

  7. Check: Gently lift the edge of the patch. If it lifts, repeat steps 4 and 5.

Pro Tip: For items that will be washed frequently, we highly recommend adding a few stitches around the edge of the patch after ironing for the most secure, permanent bond.

Disclaimer: The iron-on method works best on cotton and polyester fabrics. It is not recommended for fabrics like nylon, rayon, leather, or other materials that may be damaged by high heat. Apply to your fabric at your own risk.
